about

Live on CKUT, 90.3 FM, Radio McGill, « Stateless Society » program. Hosted by Neil Wiernik, best known for his electronic music done under the name NAW. Neil regularly invited musicians to perform live experimental music on his show. This session - not really a Phycus session, more of a collaboration - features Thierry Gauthier on guitar, Brian Damage on Moog MG-1 and Neil Wiernik on tapes. This was the first collaboration between Brian and Neil, who contributed to several Phycus live performances and recordings in the early 90’s.

Tracks 01 – 03 were recorded on cassette in the on-air studio, track 04 is a slightly different (and shorter) mix recorded on ¼” tape in the production studio.

The tracks are:
01 Interview (Stateless Society)

02 Stateless Society (Stateless Society)

03 Sign-Off (Stateless Society)
i Closing Remarks
ii Audio-Sculpture Exp. – Ecstatique
iii Phycus – Within A Triangle

Phÿcus' success was minimal, but their output was prodigious. Now in 2020, Phÿcus is back with a new release, "CrowleyWood". ... more
